Litha, a beacon in this cyclical journey, illuminates our path around June 21st, the zenith of summer, where day stretches its limbs to their longest, and night withdraws to its shortest retreat. This date serves as a pivotal hinge in the wheel of the year. It represents the peak of the Sun's benevolent power; its golden fingers unfurl to touch everything with warmth and life. Yet, the longest day gives way to a gentle decline, each subsequent sunset drawing the curtain a fraction earlier, in a patient, unwinding spiral towards Yule. Known alternatively as the Summer Solstice or Midsummer, Litha rejoices in the Earth's seasonal opulence, the fertile abundance of high summer, and the magnificence of nature resplendent in her fullest bloom.
