I love notebook layout and I believe that one of the coolest things I've learned to do as a scrapbooker is to build a notebook from scratch, complete with cover and shadows. There are multiple tutorials on YouTube and all it takes is just a bit of practice. I love the versatility of a custom-made template that allows me to resize, add pages and clip papers. Playing with shadows just adds to the fun and gives the whole thing a more realistic appearance.

Olga, this is amazing! I thought for sure you used a template until I read your description! you did such a fantastic job creating your journal! The shadows are spot on! Besides that, your photos are beautiful and so are the special touches you added to them!

You have created a fantastic notebook! How nice it would be to make a real notebook! We used to glue photo albums, write on photos and stick in tickets and small memorabilia. That was fun too! Today we rarely look at these albums and live in the digital world. But there are also great ways to create a photo book here. Super LO with fantastic photos!

Real - paper i mean - travel journals are awesome to hold indeed... though I know I would never be able to create a beautiful one myself - I wasn't very good with paper and scissors and my handwriting is anything but pretty... but I love notebook format and really enjoy creating them digitally.

I spent a lot of time on photo albums as a young woman! Today I don't want to do that anymore and capture beautiful moments as scrap. Or I can have a book printed with the Scraps. We'll get a little lazier with time 'lol'
