My daugher got her big girl bed when she turned 3. She had been sleeping in her crib (with the fourth wall taken off) since she was 18 months. Money always kept us from getting her the bed.

August 18th 2007

The time had finally come!! You were finally getting your big girl
bed! You were supposed to get it when you turned two, but the
money was against us. But this year we got it! Nana took you
to the store to pick out new sheets, and even though the sheets
we got weren't what was on the package (I was a little sad about
that) you were thrilled and helped put them on. But you weren't
quite ready to change your pillowcase from your care bears. But
by the time bedtime came around, you had switched them.
