As the mother of a young 20 something girl, One Direction was big part of our lives, and when Liam died, my daughter was crushed. We went to a memorial for him here in Vegas and we have been following the news. He suffered from mental illness and addiction and he had just come out of all of that in the last few months. So very sad ending to such a talented young man.
The lyrics are a song he wrote when he was just out of rehab and he recorded it for his album, but the record company dropped him from the label just before he died, so it was unreleased. It got leaked and it's a great song - probably his best IMO.
I just wanted to bring attention to the fact that we all can get sad and depressed, and to reach out and get help before it's too late.
