The family history, Victor Halliwell who died trying to break the World Waterspeed Record on Lake Windermere in 1930. he survived World War 1 then died at the age of 31 leaving a widow and my father in law who was only 3.

Process
The photo was clipped to a transfer onto a solid paper.
The transfer was brushed away to reveal more of the photo.
Brushes from the palette were used to add texture and interest.
Embellishments were added plus a plaque and copy of Victor's death certificate.
Finally I added a title.
