My in-laws had a parakeet, flipke. When my mother-in-law passed away 6 weeks ago, you could notice that flipke became quieter. Now that my father-in-law had to go to the covid ward of the retirement home, he had to leave his parakeet. They have given him a place with another resident, who will now take good care of him.
This is another emotional moment when you know he had to leave this behind.
My sister-in-law made a nice drawing for the obituary card.
The flowers symbolize his love for flowers that he always grew himself.
