The beauty of Art Journaling, it never goes where I think it will. I didn't use the quote I picked, I didn't use the photos I wanted, I didn't use the colors I wanted. What? yep, AJ has a mind of its own and the feelings flow out when you allow them. I found two quotes that fit my theme better. I hate the color purple (lavender) because of a family member but the little bit of purple fit the resolve to change theme. I do like purple, in small doses. I Love the purple paper from [URL='https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Where-Fairies-Live-Project.html']Where Fairies Live[/URL] and the beautiful butterflies from the same kit. I used Easy Curled Edges (retired) to get the ripped looked. I used the beautiful pink paper from [URL='https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Extravagant-Page-Kit-Essentials.html']Extravagant.[/URL] [URL='https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Time-Machine-Pagekit-by-Mystery-Scraps.html']Time Machine[/URL] for the steampunk Lady. [URL='https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Christie-Digital-Art-Kit-190-01.html']Christie[/URL] for the cute sleepy fairy. and[URL='https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Big-Moments-Wings-by-Mixed-Media-by-Erin.html'] Big Moments[/URL] for the wings that set me free.

OMG, Tracy! I'm going through the Gallery backwards so saw your other page first, but WOWOWOWOW! You are doing spectacular work with Art Journaling and it's gorgeous too! I LOVE your blending and pieces you used and your color is perfect! Your quotes are wonderful and I really like your explanation of Art Journaling in your notes. I keep looking and looking at this and finding more and more to like! You GO girl, WOW!

PS I'm sorry you have bad memories of purple because of someone. It's my very favorite color from when I was a little girl and no one liked purple. So, maybe you can think a little bit about ME when you see purple..... :heartpumppink: :beatingheart:

Thank you Marilyn. I appreciate your thoughts and encouragement. :heartpumppink: I'm sure if you looked back at the AJ pages I did last year you will see they were raw and not art. I am enjoying the process and skill growth as well as the inner growth that comes from this project.

I will think of you when I think purple. I will see happy because of you. I am learning its not purples fault, and it can be beautiful, but my first thought is to skip anything purple. I have one purple sweater and its a deep purple and I like it but its still the least worn. But now it will be Marilyn Purple and happy! :heartpumppink:

This is amazing, Tracy. You are so creative and profound in your AJ projects. The addition of the wings is very meaningful, and I love how you used the same series of girls as last weeks page. The look on her face is so determined, so resolved. Love it.

Thank you Amy. I love the girl in steampunk. She is so strong and determined. I love the look on her face. The wings were so perfect to say what I needed without words.
