The skeleton dog sat on the hotel's front desk at check-out. We left just after 6 am and took the back road up to Buena Vista for breakfast at Jan's and over Fremont Pass. There was snow up high and gorgeous fall color. Then we hit widespread heavy fog from Idaho Springs into Denver.
Love the road trip to view the fall colors--we are heading toward Amish country next week.
The rolling hills make for a view you can see for miles. The dog is quite the welcomer at the hotel!!
Love the welcoming dog and love the lace! We once drove over Fremont Pass, however it was dark and snowing (Vail Pass was closed). An experience that Walt doesn't want to remember. Leaf peeping sounds like more fun! Bet the colors are spectacular!
